Read-A-Thon

This is a great way to celebrate reading, prep for OBOB, raise funds for ACCESS, and allow students an opportunity to contribute to their school. There will also be fun prizes for students and classes who participate. Last year we raised over $20,000 and we would love to surpass this goal in 2027; this is our biggest fundraising event of the year so get those pages turning!
A few other details:
- Proceeds will go directly to the PTA and support enrichment/curriculum opportunities for our students.
- Fifty percent of those who are asked to donate do, so please reach out as far as you are able. Get your kids involved as much as possible in these asks
- Please update reading minutes on Pledgestar at least every few days so we can keep track of prizes in real time
- All students can participate, even if they don't get sponsors
- You can also use Pledgestar to track minutes even if you are not asking for sponsorship
- Reading will be tracked using the honors system--we suggest that readers not round up but rather read the full increment to count
- Eligible reading time is limited to out-of-school reading and lunch/recess during school in order to ensure no academic disruptions
